Morning Brew

Presenter: Phil Whelan
Neil Runcieman – Cricket boffin / Danny Watts – Racing driver / Education, Ethnicity and Inequality / Gary Pollard – Film

Welcome to Friday on Morning Brew. The Brits seem to be on a role this week, sport wise, and of course are hoping for that hat trick in the shape of the ashes 2013. That's Cricket, by the way, and England are taking on their favourite foes the Aussies. Our MB Cricket boffin, Neil Runcieman, joins us at 10.10 today to make it all as clear as mud. At 11.10, motor sport from the sharp end as we welcome back to the program British endurance racing driver, and star of the Macau Grand Prix, Danny Watts. After 12 we'll find out about a very pertinent conference that is going on today at the Baptist University. It concerns Education, Ethnicity and Inequality, which has become a sizable elephant in the room here in Hong Kong. We'll meet Parlo Singh, who is a Professor in the Sociology of Education Department at the Griffith Institute of Educational Research, Professor Alan Sadovnik from Rutgers University, and Dr Theressa Cunanan, from Hong Kong, who is a specialist in Ethnic Minority Education. We'll wrap up today with Gary Pollard's learned movie review of "Monsters University". (morningbrew@rthk.hk, facebook, 9.00am-1pm)
